I know next to nothing about auto-responders.
What I do know tells me that they are
1)VERY important to success.....
2)Theres about a zillion of them out there
3)If you don't know anything about them they're pretty intimidating
So here is this thread about the magical auto-responder in hopes that it will spawn much conversation, suggestions and debate on the topic to the benifit of the whole community.
Thank you one, thank you all!
Hope springs eternal,
joe

Hello Joe,
What if you wanted to send one of your website visitors
a very nice email, containing some info or resource that
they wanted.
And what if while your customer was reading your email
they were thinking "hey this was pretty cool."
And what if you wrote 50 of these, valuable, friendly
reminders of who you were and sent them to your
customer about once a week.
Now... what if you did this for every single visitor to your
website who expressed an interest in your products or
service?
And what would it be like if you only had to write the
50 emails one time, and after that an automated system
not only helped get your visitors to sign up, but also
tracked, help personalize and automatically sent your
emails out to all these visitors for you?
Auto-responders. Yep! I love them. And GetResponse.com
is the company I use, and they offer a free one as well.
No... I don't get a commission from GetResponse... too bad,
I recommend them everyday to internet marketers.
I hope you go and have a look and learn all about them!
Have a terrific day,
Paul Darby

Hi!!!
Great info Paul. I desire to add some words...
I'm using Freeautobot autoresponder since 3 years.
1) It's free
2) It works
3) It has no publicity into your automated messages (clean)
4) You can build unlimited automated messages
5) I use 4+ accounts - without problems by them (owner)
6) It has an easy interface to use/control
7) You can add manually your leads
8) It works online
9) Their website is 89% up (sometime is down)
10) You can send html messages or text mess.
---
Well, the disadvantages are:
1) you can't import a list of leads (anti spam)
2) Site will go in error/crash if you send your message to more than 350 people at once (350 leads per one time)
Do you want more from them?...IT'S FREE!!!
Have a brand new day,
Massimo

But since I've bought TBTOYL and get jumped into this site....
I do really believe I will make some great income, some day
I think I can really LEARN a lot from you. Actually I already did a bit.... http://www.education-online-life-teaching-tool.com/ GREAT SITE
I need Input Input Input, cause I'm just another newbie.
Can't read everything at once and still have lots of questions...
So now I signed up for FREEAUTOBOT.....
What's next? Install Of course and after that?
Should I write some great emails myself? or do you have any suggestion where I could find some great "introducing to my business" mails or "training mails" or whatever???

Hi Ferry, how are you my friend?
What a GREAT message from you...thanks a lot!
You can use Freeautobot autoresponder for several purposes:
1) offer something "free" to download (a guide, special tips course, etc.)
2) offer a step-by-step "report" on something you love
3) offer your ebooks to download
4) send out your newsletter to subscribers
Usually I use my autoresponder to write subscribers about news into my website...
I can't teach you how to write into your autoresponder cause I'm not an expert copywriter, and my english is not perfect as yours...
Paul always says to write people with your heart...you don't need to use "sale pitchs"...and I 100% agree with him.
People are really tired of sale pitchs...
So Ferry, what you love?...What do you like to do in order to start your business?
Meanwhile...
Our product "TBTOYL" is helping lot of people to make serious money...
If people make money with us, and they can change their life, then we can make money and change our life too!

Magnificent!!! Thanks for your good words all the time my European Friend!
What do I love? besides my lovely girlfriend...
I desire to get an excellent income with my online business. I would love to help other peoples doing the same. And I would love to give them a step-by-step explanation, online coaching, personal support and offer only the Best products like e-books, software and marketing systems. For example THE BEST TRAFFIC OF YOUR LIFE! (even without earning on it! )
I know what I want but for the moment I don't know exactly how to get!?
And this is what lots of people want to know! Ofcourse!
What should be first steps to do?
Anyway, you've already learned me some extra's in your answer. You are not an copywriting expert.....
So I've some extra questions on that>>> Do I need to contact a copywriting expert? Where can I find him/here?
OR should I study how to become The Best Copywriting Expert On The Net???
and when I become the BEST, you'll be my first Customer and Paul, For FREE ofcourse
hehehe..... But untill then.....
great regards
Ferry
==========================
in the meanwhile I setup a "splashpage" (?) whatever it is with my new autoresponder in it......
with a little extra help from fast-help-by-max!!! http://www.anindependentlife.com
I would be pleased to get your feed back.

Hello,
Mind if I break in?
There was a time when the internet was a simpler and safer place. Autoresponders were also a lot simpler then. And now, spam filters, blacklist monitors, and other techno stuff used both for good and not so good, I'd like to hear your opinions on,
- Of the numerous and well-featured autoresponders out there, which ones would say are cutting-edge, up-to-date, and dynamically fit to provide much needed service in today's online conditions?
- What features would you value most, and why?
- Even though you're able to use paid autoresponders, are there instances where you also use free ones? What instances are those?
Thank you for your time and help!

I have found that importing personal info into Goldmine and then letting it do all my emailing for me works well. This way, I can do much more than just autoresponding to each person.

I noticed that some autoresponders have changed their policies of not allowing the importation of leads and sign-ups anymore, whether automated or manual, mass importation or one-by-one.
Understandable because of spam complications.
Are there alternative mailers that will enable you to contact leads and signups so that you can follow-up on them?
If so, could you mention some of the effective ones?
Thank you!
