It occurred to me that there are some very talented people posting and
helping others on this forum. 

I want to take a moment to give them special honor.... and invite them

When a "Forum Guru" helps you, it would be appreciated if you paid
special attention to their offerings, as one, they are helping you, and

would not be a forum GURU!

I'm guessing Jason Dinner, Top Surfer, Massimo, Andybaybee... along
with others  ( I'm sorry for leaving others out)...

You can get in here, and I'll show you exactly how in just a minute...

Anyway...  So what if some other people are doing great - and they are
doing things, or teaching things differently than I do...

Does it mean that only I am right and no one else?  Uh....  NO. So what am
I to do about their advice to my "babies"?

Then it hit me!  Eurika!  Have an Experts/GURU, Topic!  Let the people making
money, talk about anything they want to,  direct us anywhere they want
to and teach anything they want to...

Would we all get some great ideas?  Would that be smokin HOT?

So, here is the deal, if you are not Jason Diner, Top Surfer  or one of the
honored internet marketers below, and you are making Money on the net,

here, I'll look at your site(s) and if I believe you :- D  then you are in and
you will be listed on this forum as a GURU.

Many thanks to Paul for considering me a "Guru."  Please don't think I am a bigshot.  I'm just a little shot that keeps on shooting. 

I hope that I will be able to provide some useful tips for those that seek them.  I'm still learning myself and appreciate Paul for putting together this forum.  I am a member of a good number of forums and this is definitely tops.  I can't wait until there are thousands of members instead of hundreds.  Definitely off to a good start.

Hello all,

For starters, I would like to give much respect to my mentor Mike Filsaime.  He is the reason why Paul Darby even considers me a "Guru."  I have the luxury of living only 5 minutes away from him.  It is a funny story how I got to even meet him, but I'll save that for those that want to hear about it.  One of the first things he told me when we first got together that the money is in the list and that you can make $1 per month for every email address that you have.  Now for those of you who don't know who he is, he created PayDotCom, which is clickbank's competition and actually is better.  He also owns Instant Buzz.  He has over 20 websites that make him a ton of money.  He is unemployable, and I'd like to think that we all want to make enough money to be able to tell are bosses to stick their job where the sun don't shine.

The next thing he told me to do was to read his ebook Carbon Copy Marketing which he shows exactly what he did in great detail, via the 71 page book and 41 videos(4 hours worth), to make over $5000 a month.  Since he wrote that book, he has increased his monthly income 10 fold.  I am following his teachings to the tee and am using this book as my blueprint for success.  Just read the testimonies on the sales page to get an idea of what this book has done for many, including me, and what it can do for you.  Maybe in a couple of weeks you'll see my testimony on there.:cool:


Anyway, that is my first tip and probably the best tip I can give anyone that is struggling to make it happen online.  I was spinning my wheels and getting nowhere fast.  I wasted my money on one of those Plug In Profit Sites and was aimlessly promoting any affiliate program I can join for free.  Not anymore, because of Mike, I am focused and am actually making money.  Everyone should be able to succeed online, we just need the proper guidance to do it.  I wish everyone all the best and expect you all to succeed.  We all deserve to never have to worry about money and get to focus on what is really important to each and every one of us.  Isn't it funny how a job keeps us from doing what we really want to be doing?

In my case, I used keyword "calling tru" into the page of "contact me" (in my site). I placed it on meta-tags plus into the page.

However if your page:

- has only the purpose to put visitors in contact with you

- has a contact-me form and nothing else (no content)

...in this case keywords are not fundamental. Just link your page to your index (main page), and be sure the link will be VISIBLE.


Otherwise if you have a webpage rich of content & information, search always keywords that suite its content and the content of all your website.

That's it...for now...and on second thoughts...I will make this post a bit more valuable..by just mentioning that there is no single formula that will drive you to greater heights...Internet Marketing is the interplay of several variables...a particular combination may be perfect for one business...but absolutely irrelevant for another business...The first thing you need to do is understand the variables...Don't worry....you will get a lot of information on at least four variable right from this thread...because I consider Jason Dinner to be a Safelist Expert...Massimo to be an SEO expert...and our vey own Paul Darby...we know he is handling a forum with
aplomb. Of course, you can drive your "Manual Traffic Exchange" queries here...and "yours truly" will handle them. That's not to say...you can't post queries on "Link Exchanges", "FFA links", "Ezine publishing","Article posting", etc, etc, etc........and Internet Marketing, in general. We will give it our best shot !!!

I don't consider myself a guru, but only a guy learning these things since a loooong time... (since 1998). When you think to be the FINAL GURU of the web world, you are arrived at the end of the story.

Here is my question: My current web service provider now offers Flash intros we can put on our sites. I, personally, do not care for these... and usually look for the skip intro button as fast as I can. However, I am trying to deal with the public at large, so my personal likes and dislikes can be more of a hinderance than a positive at times. Are flash intros considered a benefit to a site or will it drive away traffic before they ever enter my site?

I would have posted this in the ask forum members area, but I am not looking for opinions. I am hoping that since we have the worlds top Gurus, that at least one of you have dealt with this issue to some degree and can provide infomative, valuable information.

I suggest you to place the best keywords you can into your homepage (index)...and avoid flash things.

In fact your "index" is one of the most important page of your site...
Flash intros are good for japanese/chinese markets. They love dynamic content, and European and American markets are really different.

1) Do you know that Americans prefer text content to images?

2) Europeans love 3-4 pictures at all (they have their weight on the page!)


So, I suggest you to not use flash intros. Use nice videos into your webpages to increase the percentage of your sales instead! ;)

OR

You're showcasing something on an interacitve level (click here to zoom in, click here to rotate, etc.)

Having a flash intro won't KILL you, but give them the option to skip it if you've GOTTA do one at all.
